I have been involved in several projects, including a custom Home Design for an Asian couple seeking a weekend retreat remniscent of their homeland. The design incorporates the Asian tradition of dual use living and sleeping area by utilizing a traditional futon hideaway. The site led itself to easily incorporate the Asian style, allowing for views of the sea and a neighboring public Japanese Garden, while maintaining privacy for the home owner. Clients requested an east facing Meditation Room which was easily provided.
Another home was designed for a family of four as a weekend home. The White's required entertainment area, a pool, room for guests, and a custom chef's kitchen. Mr White had specific culinary needs and wanted high end appliances. Mrs. White required a work out area as well as a spa tub and pool. The teenaged children would be sharing a room but needed play space. All this was accomplished with a Tuscan flair to allow the home to blend into the Napa Valley Area.
