I've taken two 8-day driving tours of Ireland and it's not only easy to do, it's really the best investment of your travel dollar. Forget hotels. It's more fun to stay in Bed & Breakfasts run by real families in their homes. They'll provide you with additional travel information and a home cooked meal to ready you for a day of exploring and sightseeing, and drinking Guinness.
