I provide counseling services in a safe and comfortable environment. Establishing a trusting patient/therapist relationship is essential to a successful therapeutic outcome. Using a "one size fits all" approach to therapy often produces less than satisfactory results. I have been trained in both traditional and modern forms of therapy. Though I prefer the use of goal oriented approaches in therapy, a comprehensive treatment plan is developed which is based on the presenting problem and your unique individual needs.
My clinical expertise is based on over 30 years of "hands on" experience. In addition to maintaining a private practice, I have worked as a family therapist for a large school district and a physical rehabilitation specialist in a private hospital. I have been a consultant to major corporations providing workshops on stress reduction and methods to improve employee productivity. I have been active in the treatment of substance abuse since the creation of Methadone Maintenance Treatment Programs in the 1970's. I have extensive clinical experience in treating the following; Addictions, Depression, Anxiety, Family & Relationship Problems, Issues of Childhood, Stress Reduction and Chronic Pain.
