My Expert Service
Daniel Linder, MFT guides significant others in recalling events that provide irrefutable evidence of problems resulting from an addiction(s), to then confront the addict and, at the same time convey that while they care, they will longer stand by helplessly watching him/her self-destruct.

Experience & Qualifications
For the past 25 years I've been a practicing MFT -- addictions specialist/relationship trainer -- working with individuals, couples and families in the Bay Area. My primary focus is relationships and getting them to work better. My practice is split between those recovering from addictions, who need to learn how to create sober, emotionally nourishing relationships; and those who have issues in their relationships. i.e. anger management, affairs, conflict resolution, communication, as well as recovery-related. I also specialize in pre-marital counseling... to get those embarking on a relationship journey off to a healthy start.
I combine psycho-education and communication skills building with therapeutic process. I have an eclectic orientation that draws on Western and Eastern schools of psychology.
My books, Demystifying Addiction --a relationship model for understanding the emotional dynamics of addiction; and Relational Recovery --clearly delineated principles and guidelines for dealing with the challenges inherent in building emotionally nourishing relationships. I serve a culturally diverse population --races, nationalities, religions and sexual orientations. "
