I am a doctoral level therapist with considerable experience dealing with addictions. I believe that addressing addictive behavior involves not only developing strategies to cope with the addictive behavior itself, but also that it is important to deal with the feelings and issues that lie underneath. I can help with both. Sessions may involve exploring your triggers and developing strategies to avoid or contend with these. Typically self esteem, relational, emotional, vocational, and other issues will be discussed with regard to their impact upon addictive behavior.

Michael is a realist. His advice and perspective are always solid and grounded. He seems to ask all the right questions to get me thinking. I have contacted him numerous times and he has been of great support and guidance to me in a very difficult time. He's also pretty funny -- which helps too!
