I am an adoption specialized therapist, an international adoption trainer, and the author of “Recognizing and Managing Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Effects: A Guidebook”; “Parenting Your Adopted Older Child” and the childrens’ book “Eden’s Secret Journal: The Story of An Older Child Adoption” and "Help I've Been Adopted". I am also the mother of 14 children, 12 of whom are adopted and are considered to have special needs. Since 1982 I have worked as a therapist with children and families facing issues such as sexual abuse and family violence as well as adoption and foster related concerns. I am a writer and a sought after speaker in the area of behaviour disorders. I understand that you want to manage the emotional or behavioural concerns that challenge your day. I can help you by providing adoption specific parent coaching that is both practical and effective

Experience & Qualifications

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Counsellor (province of B.C. Canada) with 25 years experience as a therapist as well as an internationally known author and trainer. Recipient of the 2004 NACAC Adoption Advocate of the Year award.
