Dr. Annette Childs holds a Ph.D in psychology and has been a licensed therapist for over 15 years. She is also the award winning author of two books, both highly acclaimed tools in the fields of grief and loss. As a therapist she has dedicated her life to working with those facing hard transitions. In particular, her focus has been end of life care where she has assisted thousands of dying individuals and their families to find peace and meaning at the end of life.
A natural medium, Dr. Childs has had contact with the other side since childhood. She has helped hundreds to both connect and understand the world of spirit with her unique form of clinical mediumship. She realized her gift when at a young age when she had an uncanny experience with her dying grandmother. This experience left her hungering for a better understanding of death, dying, and what if anything may come next, ultimately leading her to higher education as a way of blending the scientific and the spiritual. As a doctoral candidate, she spent years researching near death experiences (NDE’s) and other mystical phenomenon associated with the dying process and grief. With this research she began formulating a unique viewpoint on how a doorway to the mystical seems to open up when we are “near death” whether it be our own, a dying loved one, or during the grieving process after experiencing a loss.
