My Expert Service
|
|
I have worked with people of all ages, individuals, couples and families for 25 years. I am a licensed mental health counselor and coach. Grief can involve the loss of a loved one, a job, or even a socially defined role, eg., an employee entering retirement. Anyone can experience grief and loss; it can be sudden or expected. Grief, by itself, is a normal response to loss and people respond in many different ways. Some use healthy coping mechanisms, while others have issues that delay the grieving process. While experiencing grief can promote healing, getting 'stuck' because of guilt or other complicating factors prolongs resolution. Support from a caring professional can help bring unresolved conflicts to the surface and facilitate closure.
