My Expert Service

I have an outpatient private practice as a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed drug and alcohol counselor in the state of Nevada. I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work from the University of Nevada, Reno, and worked for Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center's Behavioral Health Services providing inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy for fourteen years. I have had my private practice since 2004, and in August, 2006 my private practice got so busy that went full time to private practice.

1992 to 2006 Drug and alcohol counselor and then general psychotherapist, working with inpatient and outpatient populations, Carson-Tahoe Hospital Behavioral Health Services.

2004 to current Private practice psychotherapist, Rick Dawson, LCSW, LADC, Carson City, Nevada. I am an adjunct clinical professor of social work at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Rick is extremely patient, empathetic and knowledgeable. Seems to have an innate ability to understand what a person is truly saying and point them in the direction to begin healing.
