My Expert Service

Relaxation training, emotion regulation, distress and crisis tolerance skills, pain management, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other research-supported interventions that have been shown to reduce pain and emotional distress. I am specially trained in loss and issues surrounding bereavement and have worked with hundreds of individuals who have lost loved ones following disasters, illnesses, accidents, etc.

Experience & Qualifications

I was the Director of a crisis response team since 2001 and coordinated as well as intervened in communities affected by trauma or disaster. I work full-time providing mental health services. I have published and taught nationally on the psychological care of cancer and serious illness. I am trained in crisis, disaster, and bereavement work and have worked in New York City and New Orleans following large-scale disasters. My theoretical orientation is primarily cognitive behavioral therapy. I am trained in and lead Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups. I am also specially trained in the integration of religious and spiritual issues in treatment.
