My Expert Service
I approach counseling in a personal yet up-front style. The methods I use come from an integrated approach of clinically evidenced-based techniques shaped by a philosophical orientation of the Humanistic-Existential view of mankind that believes that man is innately good yet must take responsibiltiy for his choices in life and in all suffering there is meaning. I seek to help people succeed in life, by their own definiton, by guiding them to recognize, develop and use their strengths in pursuing each of OUR JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE.

Experience & Qualifications
I have 25 years experience working in a variety of settings including as an In-Home Family Therapist with children, adolescents, and adults; including At-Risk teenagers as both an Educator and a Counselor. This has been my most satisfying relationship with clients as the in-home enviroment allows the professional to get a true and full picture of the individual and family dynamics in order to better serve the family system. My experience ranges from the school setting to residential care, and in-patient behavioral health hospitalization. I have experience as a Clinical Program Manager of a Non-Profit Community Based Program and Clinical Supervisor of a Community Services Agency. I am currently in private practice in North Carolina where I see children, adolescents, and adults - individuals, couples, families, and groups. I am an objective, trained, yet compassionate listener who believes that whatever matters to you is worth discussing. I can be the vehicle to your finding your own solutions to whatever stumbling blocks are in the way of finding your serenity and the actualization of your aspirations for yourself. Sometimes we need to get out of our own way to find it. Challenging ourselves to grow psychologically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually is not always an easy task and takes committment and preserverance, but if one is determined and willing to search within themselves and sometimes even experience the pain of growth and healing, the results can be a new, more ful-filling and enriched sense of the art of living.
