Experience & Qualifications
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been in private practice for more than twenty years. I also teach psychology classes for four colleges and universities and facilitate a university sponsored alcohol and drug program. I have worked as a Family Mediator and continue to provide forensic evaluations and expert testimony for the legal community. I serve clients nationally and internationally.
I have always been deeply interested in human nature, creativity, consciousness, and dreams. I followed my interest by earning two advanced degrees in Counseling Psychology (M.S.) and Psychology (PhD). In addition to my clinical training, I am strongly influenced by mindfulness practice, Buddhist philosophy, yoga, Jungian thought, and humanistic values and beliefs. In my private practice, I offer meditation training, coaching, individual and group counseling and psychotherapy, forensic consulting, and learning opportunities.
I am an independent scholar and phenomenological researcher about the human condition. I have presented at national and international conferences across the United States, Canada, Japan, Italy, Finland, and Russia. I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association, the International Society of Mental Health Counselors Online, and other state associations. I would be happy to offer you a an initial consultation to hear about your situation and see if we would be a good fit to work together. I am an affirmative counselor and do not exclude anyone based on gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
