My orientation is cognitive behavioral with an emphasis on positive psychology. I have practiced in a variety of settings primarily working with adults and adolescents. I help people to identify and overcome their negative core beliefs that drive their current self defeating behaviors. I strongly believe in empowering clients with information, skills and strategies. I have a Bachelors Degree with High Honors in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan, CAN and a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Chadron State College, NE. I am a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP #422 NE) and a Certified Profesional Counselor (CPC #426 NE). I have worked in several settings including agency based outpatient mental health clinics, hospital emergency rooms assessing suicidal and dangerous patients, as an on staff therapist in a juvenile group home and most currently in my own private practice.
