My counseling style is informal, client-centered, solution focused and short-term. I try to create a safe have where you can express yourself, be heard and begin to figure things out. May I help you learn to live your life with ease?
I have training and experience working with depression, anxiety, panic and fears, PTSD and trauma, life coaching, relationship issues, grief and loss, domestic abuse and violence, and anger management.
Alcohol and drug counseling is based on what you need and are comrotable with. I am at ease using the medical model of substance abuse and dependence, motivational interviewing, and 12-step recovery (AA, NA.), and I am at ease non-traditional counseling based on harm reduction and moderation management. If, in the course of our conversations, it seems that you need face-to-face counseling and/or treatment, appropriate referrals will be offered.

Experience & Qualifications
|

From 1998 to 2002 I worked as a substance abuse and mental health counselor in a community health setting that provided integrated treatment. I have been in private practice since 2001 offering evaluations, counseling and referrals for clients who have problems with substance abuse and/or mood disorders including depression, anxiety, panic, and trauma.
