At some point in life we all experience emotional upsets that interfere with daily life and cause us inbalance. Is there a decision, person or situation you should deal with but simply don't know how to begin? I will help you recognize the various facets of the problem and together we will work toward resolution and relief of your burden to a more rational and happier life. I am a good probelm solver and enjoy mediating personal/family conflicts. Depression, stress, fear, anxiety, envy, procrastination, anger, self-distain or persistant blame of/from others, suffering abuse, and addictive behavior can take over one's life.
As life is diverse, there are diverse methods of dealing with problems such as: understanding the power of our thoughts, what methods we are unconsciously using to deal with life and the impact of others behavior on our lives. I provide an exchange with empathy, respect, acceptance, maturity and non-judgement as well as humor. I am a good listener and I take extra time before I ask you to hire me as I first want to be sure that I can be of help. I am especially good at validating women and supporting them in new endeavors no matter how farfetched their dream may be!

I have had a private practice since 1985 dealing with the individual and family in a broad spectrum of issues. I have successfully worked with the following issues: Personality Disorders, midlife crisis, Bipolar, Depression, Paranoia, personal issues such as time management and environmental organization, lack of decisiveness, personal acceptance for gays and lesbians, those suffering from workplace abuse, incest survivors and the resultant drug, alcohol and sexual orientation issues that arise from this difficult past, woman who are in the midst of abusive relationships. In addition, I have personal experience re long distance relationships and am considered an expert on the subject. I supervise therapists working with family violence, dissociative and addictive disorders. In addition I have taught psychology on the college level for many years and worked with the criminally mentally ill in a New York state institution. As a trained court mediator I am an expert in conflict management and have aided in the resolution of family and business conflicts helping to prevent the opposing parties to go to court/trial.
