As an adoption social worker and adoptive parent with over 25 years of experience I can help people make appropriate choices in terms of where to adopt, what type of child is appropriate for them and explain the process both in domestic and foreign adoptions. I have done hundreds of homestudies for domestic and international adoptions. I'm also experienced in post adoption issues. Many adoptive families are confused if and when to tell their child if they are adopted, what to tell friends, family and even strangers. How do we answer questions? Children have their own issues to deal with. What if their class is doing a family tree? What if the child was adopted by a single parent, a gay family? These are all very valid, real and common questions that each person can address according to their own situation. I can help you with these issues and more.
