I am an expert in child development and more specifically the development of children with special needs. I am trained as both a teacher and a psychologist. I understand the unique experiences that special needs chidlren have in both school, at home, and at social activiites. I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with children, parents, and families. I am also certified as a school psychologist. I have worked with children who have Autism, ADHD, Sensory Integration issues, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, and Learning Disabilities. I have worked for many years in the Early Intervention system and in Special Education. I am able to answer your questions related to your child's mental health, social skills, and academic accomodations that may be needed. I have worked with children of special needs for over 15 years. I am considered an expert in the field and teach University courses related to special needs children. Further I have worked within several systems that are designed to treat children with special needs, including early intervention, special education, day treatment programs, and inpatient hospital units. I frequently work with children who have Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Sensory conerns, and other developmental disorders. I understand the unique situation that families with a special needs child experience and can help parents manuever the many systems they become a part of to assist their child. Further I can give answer questions about academics, socialization, mental health, and family concerns, related to your special needs child.
