Experience & Qualifications

I have over 35 years of counseling and therapy experience and practice. In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). My training has included a focus on client-centered therapy and counseling, mental health disorders, and disability adjustment. My extensive clinical experience includes work with adults, families, adolescents, and children. I have helped those who have come to me to with difficulties of depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, a general feeling of foreboding, uncertainty, sadness, worry, fear, grief, changes in mood, career difficulties, crisis, loneliness, lack of assertiveness, issues of self-esteem, family problems, marriage difficulties, concerns about children, and more. In my 16 years as Executive Director of a Community Mental Health Center and the 11 years prior to that as Director of Psychiatric Day Treatment I have encountered and treated all forms of emotional and mental disorders. In my training I took a specialization in vocational and career counseling.
