My Expert Service
|
|
Greetings...and welcome to my profile page. I hope you will read on to learn more about my background and my work and get a feel for who I am...
My focus is fully on you – your life, your hope and dreams, your plans and goals, your obstacles and resources, your fears and concerns. I attend to you without judgment or criticism. I listen carefully; ask questions that lead us deeper into understanding and insight, and help you gain clarity and direction. I am available to provide you with quality, professional counseling. Whatever has happened, whatever you think or feel, whatever you have said or done, we can talk about it honestly and openly and in privacy.
I rely on many years of training and experience. I view counseling as and opportunity for deepening connection with self, others, and life beyond the confines of the session. Certainly practical solutions and actions arise from sessions, furthering the growth, health, and development of the person.
Sometimes people have been doing the same dance for so long that merely bringing a fresh eye to a situation opens up new possibilities. Sometimes people discover parts or paths for themselves they have neglected when they can be in therapeutic dialog. Sometimes people need to vent, be validated, feel understood, supported, and encouraged. Sometimes people gain by a bit of advice or new insight or angle on their problems.
Your issues may be chronic or circumstantial – in your relationship with yourself and your life and goals, or your relationship with others. You may be stuck and need a kick in the butt or feel overwhelmed by transition.
I can help you to improve communication with the important people in your life. I have years of experience helping people relate and communicate more effectively. I can help you learn to…
*say what you mean an mean what you say
*let go of the fear of really being real and honest in your relationships.
*better understand where your spouse, partner, boss, kids, parent, sibling, and others are coming from.
*express your thoughts, feelings, needs, and wants in a way that caring others in your life can understand and accept.
*come from the powerful place of “I” and “now” moving forward and move out of the past, the other, resentment, and victimhood.
These are just some of the reasons people seek counseling. Always counseling is directed to meet your needs, move you towards your goals and engage the process of your personal development.
Whatever you choose, Progress and Peace.

INFORMED CONSENT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There are potential risks and benefits to online counseling, as with any other counseling modality. Misunderstandings are possible with text-based modalities such as live chat and email (since nonverbal cues are relatively lacking) . Services using asynchronous (not in "real time") communication is that of turnaround time. As a client you may not receive a response to an email for several days, depending upon the counselor's schedule and availability. The counselor has a right to his or her privacy and may wish to restrict the use of any copies or recordings the client makes of their communications. Potential benefits The client should be informed of the potential benefits of receiving mental health services online. This includes both the circumstances in which the counselor considers online mental health services appropriate and the possible advantages of providing those services online. For example, the potential benefits of email may include: (1) being able to send and receive messages at any time of day or night; (2) neve
