I approach counseling in a personal yet up-front style using an integrated approach of evidence-based techniques shaped by a Humanistic-Existential view of mankind to help people succeed in life, by their own defintion, by using their STRENGTHS in pursuing what I refer to as "OUR JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE". Most people know that everyone has his/her own communication style. However, what many people are unaware of is that there are communication "languages". By that I am not referring to the various spoken and written languages, but rather the languages of which we give and receive messages of communication, love, warmth, approval and acceptance. It is this and other effective tools and strategies I teach and empower people with that can make them anything from better public speakers, more successful at business, to better partners and more effective parents. This is what I have extensively trained to do for many years and I strive to impart on the clients I work with.

Experience & Qualifications

I have 25 years experience working in a variety of settings including as an In-Home Family Therapist with children, adolescents, and adults; including At-Risk teenagers as both an Educator and a Counselor. This has been my most satisfying relationship with clients as the in-home enviroment allows the professional to get a true and full picture of the individual and family dynamics in order to better serve the family system. My experience ranges from the school setting to residential, private practice and in-patient behavioral health hospitalization. I have experience both as a Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor. I am an objective, trained, yet compassionate listener who believes that whatever matters to you is worth discussing. I can be the vehicle to your finding your own solutions to whatever stumbling blocks are in the way of finding your serenity and the actualization of your aspirations for yourself. Sometimes we need to get out of our own way to find it, AND sometimes we need to learn new skills, behaviors, thoughts processes, and tools to better manage our own lives. I have spent my career researching, studying, and implementing the strategies I teach and counsel on to empower people with the knowledge to make the changes necessary to enhance the quality of their lives.
