I approach counseling in a personal yet up-front style using an integrated approach of evidence-based techniques shaped by a Humanistic-Existential view of mankind to help people succeed in reaching their goals in life. I believe this can be accomplished by people learning, acknowledging, building and focusing on their strengths while improving their weaknesses as we all pursue OUR JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE. Our self-esteem and confidence can be negatively effected by many factors in life. In order to grow and ACTUALIZE our dreams and plans in life we MUST be able to view ourselves as worthy and worthwhile human-beings with positive self-images. I have the experience working with people from various cultures, backgrounds, and life-histories helping them learn to LOVE THEMSELVES for the first time or restore that feeling what was somehow in someway lost.

I have 25 years experience working in a variety of settings including as an In-Home Family Therapist with children, adolescents, and adults; including At-Risk teenagers as both an Educator and a Counselor. This has been my most satisfying relationship with clients as the in-home enviroment allows the professional to get a true and full picture of the individual and family dynamics in order to better serve the family system. My experience ranges from the school setting to residential, private practice and in-patient behavioral health hospitalization as well as the above. I have experience as a Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor. I am an objective, trained, yet compassionate listener who believes that whatever matters to you is worth discussing. I can be the vehicle to your finding your own solutions to whatever stumbling blocks are in the way of finding your serenity and the actualization of your aspirations for yourself. Sometimes we need to get out of our own way to find it.
