I am a Licesed Professional Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Certified Imago Therapist. Theoretically I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Cognitve Behavior Therapy. I am committed to providing couples with the tools they need to repair their relationship and to move beyond their disconnection. Similalry, I am committed to provide clients with the life skills they need to move past their depression, overcome their anxiety, and change the landscape of their lives.

Experience & Qualifications

I was awarded a Bachelors of Arts degree in 1991 from the College of New Paltz and in 1993 I was awarded a Master of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University. In 1999 I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland and in Washington DC. In 2001 I became a trained crises response therapist with the Red Cross and the Department of Health. Shortly thereafter I became a Clinical Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor in the State of Maryland. In 2005 I was awarded the HRSA scholarship for excellence in the field of counseling and served 2 years serving the underserved population. In February 2007 I committed myself to enhancing my couple counseling skills and embarked on a 2 year training and became a certified Imago Couple therapist in 2009.
Over the course of my 20 years as a clinical professional counselor I have devoted myself to my profession by assuming behavioral health positions at such companies as Johns Hopkins Hospital, Whitman Walker Clinic, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, People's Community Health Center, Affiliated Sante, Sexaul Abuse Assault Center, and DC Health Care Alliance. In addition to this I have assumed leadership positions in national organizations such as EAPA and in response to 911 I became trained as a Mental Health First Response Crises Responder for the Red Cross and Department of Health.
