As a therapist in private practice for over ten years, I have expertise in family counseling working with children and families and individuals.I have ten years of treating clients struggling with depression, post traumatic stress disorders, utilizing group and individual counseling sessions as a method treatment. I have several years of post/graduate training in mental health issues including trainning in the treatment of depression. I currently provide mental health consultation to practicing mental health therapist's working in a private agency with a variety of clients. I have training in the evaluation of clients to determine their level of social and psychological functioning. I have training and experience in the development of case plans with client and helping them to achieve their goals of using short-term solution focused treatment modalities. I have experience in providing evaluation of persons in acute mental health crisis including depression and suicidal ideation I have specialized experience as a consultation for African American children and their families and have developed culturally relevant mental health case plans.
I am certified as a social supervisor for perspective twenty years of child welfare experience working with parents and children who were challenged by various mental health issues including chronic depression and addiction issues.
