Depression is big business these days. Drug companies are spending millions convincing people that taking a pill for the rest of your life will end your depression. Psychologists have scientific studies showing the benefit of specific techniques to resolve depression. I have worked with a wide range of therapies and have had good results helping people be less depressed. They say that depression is anger turned inward. Many people resolve some of that anger and feel less depressed. Assertiveness training also works. It is important to be flexable and be willing to try different treatments till we find one that works.I have had thirty years experience helping others overcome severe debilitating depressions to prolonged sadness. Grief is another aspect of depression, although it is considered a normal reaction. Society today portrays resolving grief in too short a time frame however. I have seen therapy work. I have seen so many people realize potentials and overcome depression to lead a fuller more satisfying lives.
