I approach counseling in a personal yet up-front style using an integrated approach of evidenced-based techniques shaped by a humanistic view of mankind. I believe each of us needs to take ownership and responsibility of our behavior. We often cannot control what happens in life, but we can choose how we decide to view it and handle it and the choices we make. I believe there is meaning in the struggles we have in our lives and that they bring us growth if we can search for that meaning and purpose. I seek to help people succeed in life, by their own definiton. I help people to identify and use their strengths in pursuing each of our own unique and individual pursuits in experiencing the process we go through in "OUR JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE".

Experience & Qualifications

I have over 25 years experience working in a variety of settings including as an In-Home Family Therapist with children, adolescents, and adults; including At-Risk teenagers as both an Educator and a Counselor. This has been my most satisfying relationship with clients as the in-home enviroment allows the professional to get a true and full picture of the individual and family dynamics in order to better serve the family system. My experience ranges from the public and non-public regular and scpecial education school settings to adult residential care, parent education, community agency experience, to private practice and in-patient adult behavioral health hospitalization. I have experience as a Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor. I am an objective, trained, yet compassionate listener who believes that whatever matters to you is worth discussing. I can be the vehicle to your finding your own solutions to whatever stumbling blocks are in the way of finding your serenity and the actualization of your aspirations for yourself. Sometimes we need to get out of our own way to find it.
