Over the years, I've helped folks cope with a variety of concerns--panic attacks, depression, anger management, domestic violence, ADHD, and recovery from abuse to name a few.
There's probably not a whole lot of difference between you and me: We've both got our strong points and our struggles, and I'm betting that we've both had our share of really black times. I've experienced both "sides of the couch," so to speak, and I know that there are no magic words--or magic pills!--that will solve all your problems (or mine). I do know a bit about psychology, counseling, and behavioral health treatment, and I've been doing this long enough to recognize a lot of the things that trip people up. I see my role as part Knowledgeable Consultant, part Attentive Listener, part Provider of Feedback, and part Cheerleader. I do not, however, own a pair of pom-poms. ;)
