Experience & Qualifications

I am a qualified counsellor with a wide experience of helping people resolve difficulties. I have a Diploma in Counselling and hold a Master of Science Degree in Counselling Research awarded by the University of Bristol.
Much of my experience has grown from my work with individuals as a counsellor in private practice since 1992. I was a finalist in the Cosmopolitan Woman of Achievement in Education Awards 1999 celebrating my teaching work around building healthy sexual relationships.
I am a fully accredited member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)
In 2000 I co-awarded the, “Innovation in Training Award,” by Pavilion Publishing for my co-authored pack entitled, “ Get Sorted with Drugs & Alcohol.”
I have been featured on local radio and television for my work around sexual health and relationships.
I have researched domestic violence in America with a fellowship from the Winston Churchill Trust and serve as a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.I have managed my own therapy business called New Leaf since 1992.
