My Expert Service
I approach counseling in a personal yet up-front style using integrated approaches, evidence based techniques, and philosophies of the psychology of personal dynamics and human interactions. Relationships require maturity, communication skills, negotiation, defining roles, and mutual goals. But even in the best of circumstances sometimes relationships don't work out. When that happens, people need to have the skills to deal with the dissolution of the relationship emotionally, mentally, and often physically and financially. That takes THERAPEUTIC SUPPORT to minimize the trauma and devastation. I have worked for many years with people of various ages and family compositons on these serious issues and have helped them cope with the challenges of deciding for themselves if the problems of a relationship can and should be continued to be sought to be resolved and have assisted them in learning the skills to do so. If for themselves the answer was no, then my efforts have been to support those seeking my help to deal with their fears and concerns of the unknowns of what changes will come with the ending of the relationship, whether the person seeking the help is the one initiating the break-up or not.

Experience & Qualifications
I have 25 years experience working in a variety of settings including as an In-Home Family Therapist with children, adolescents, and adults; including At-Risk teenagers as both an Educator and a Counselor. This has been my most satisfying relationship with clients as the in-home enviroment allows the professional to get a true and full picture of the individual and family dynamics in order to better serve the family system. My experience ranges from the school setting to residential, private practice and in-patient behavioral health hospitalization. I have experience as a Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor. I am an objective, trained, yet compassionate listener who believes that whatever matters to you is worth discussing. I can be the vehicle to your finding your own solutions to whatever stumbling blocks are in the way of finding your serenity and the actualization of your aspirations for yourself. Sometimes we need to get out of our own way to find it.
