Who knows why one would cheat on another. But what happens next is in many ways up to you. It is very important to move slowly, put on the brakes, if you can. For your partner to choose the option of infidelity is lame. There were many other options to choose from. It is entirely in your hands as to whether you want to forgive or not. But, one of the most important things to consider is how was your relationship before the betrayal. Why was there any room for a third party, in the first place?
