I have 25 years of experience and worked with adults of all ages, from late teens through midlife and into retirement. I have experience with depression, anger management, anxiety and stress, all or which are far to common given today's economic environment. I am trained in both Mental Health and Rehabilitation and as such am qualified to be a counselor or coach. While the area of Mental Health is self descriptive training in Rehabilitation has prepared me to assist in choosing new career directions as well as how to cope with illness.

Experience & Qualifications

I provided counseling outreach while at a community mental health clinic and am knowledgable about all types of mental illness including depression, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.
I served as a Guardian ad litem for the Probate Court system, assessing the competency of persons with dementia and mental health issues.
I worked with older adults and their families and caregivers.
I counseled disabled high school students and helped them transition from a sheltered school environment.
While under a contract with Vocational Rehabilitation, I evaluated students with learning disabilities who were graduating from high school to determine their need for assistive technology in higher education.
At Project Aids I counseled people with HIV/AIDS.
Prior to earning an MA, I worked as a Social Case Worker for Families with Children and with the Work Incentive Program.
