As an Individual, Marriage and Family Counsellor, I am here to encourage you as you work through the problems for which you want to find a solution. Over the years, I have developed a specialty in assisting adult survivors of childhood abuse and trauma in their recovery, as well as in helping people resolve family conflict. I also assist people in working through many common personal and relational issues, including life changes, anxiety, anger, depression, grief, spiritual issues, and more. As a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, I seek to come alongside those who are hurting in order to help them towards healing, cooperating with the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
In counselling, I use various methods, working from Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioural perspectives. I am able to work effectively and respectfully with people who come from various social and religious backgrounds. Although the counselling I do is strongly influenced by my own Christian faith, I do not make belief decisions for others. The client’s ability to choose is valued and encouraged.

Experience & Qualifications
|
I have been in private practice since 1997, and have over twelve years of experience counselling people with a variety of personal, marital and family issues, including seven years of online counselling experience. As well, I minister through music, speak publicly and offer seminars on life issues and spiritual growth. I have also received training in Prayer Care Healing, Today's Challenges Rooted in Childhood Trauma, and Bringing Order into Traumatic Disorder. Along with my professional training, the counselling I do has also grown out of my personal experience of inner healing.
I have a background in the health care field, in chronic care. Also, I have experience working with children and youth, in community, social, church, and school settings. I am married with four children.
