Cheryl is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist/Psychotherapist, Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor and is an Employee Assistance Coaching Specialist from the Institute for Life Coaching Training, an International Coach Federation accredited coach training institute. She has received training in on-line counseling. Cheryl is also a graduate level adjunct professor teaching Counseling Theory and Practice, Clinical Interviewing Skills, and Group Counseling and Group Dynamics. Cheryl has worked in the human service field for over 20 years. She has experience in private practice, as well as community mental health and substance abuse settings. She has directed an Intensive Outpatient Program, Outpatient Clinical Services and Residential Services. Cheryl works with individuals, couples, and families. Cheryl’s clinical practice includes substance abuse and addictions, ACOA, grief, trauma, relationship problems, self-esteem, depression, anger management, stress reduction and personal growth and awareness. She is also a group facilitator for problem gambling, anger management and womens issues. In addition, Cheryl is trained in Reiki and is a certified Nia instructor. Cheryl's guiding principles are that we all possess creativity and you are the expert on you. She also believes in the integration of mind, body, spirit in promoting health, wellness and growth. Cheryl is passionate about her work and feels it is a privilege to be a part of the lives of those who are seeking change.
