My Expert Service
I believe marital problems basically boil down to problems in communication. In order to improve the quality of a troubled marriage, it is generally necessary to improve the quality of the communication between spouses. What are the real issues that you and your spouse are arguing about? Surely the argument about the cap being off the tube of toothpaste must not be the source of such anger. What is the real underlying reason for the argument. Learn how to take time outs so that conflicts do not escalate out of control. Work on healing unresolved hurts so that you can move forward. I will attempt to help you in these and other processes.

Experience & Qualifications
I have done marital counseling in both an outpatient mental health clinic setting as well as in a counseling center aboard a major Marine Base. I look for areas of common ground upon which to work and help individuals to identify the positive aspects of their relationship. This helps provide motivation to work through the areas of difficulty. Cycles of conflict and violence must be intervened upon, as neither verbal/emotional, physical, sexual or any abuse is acceptable in a marriage or intimate relationship. This is done primarily through anger management techniques, conflict resolution approaches and improving the effectiveness of communication between the couple.
