Online counseling is not appropriate for all kinds of problems.
If you have suicidal thoughts, it's important that you seek help
immediately. You are not alone.
If you are located in the US, call 1-800-784-2433 or

My Expert Service
|
|
As a couples therapist in private practice, I
take a strengths-based approach to relationship issues. This means that the
answers to your relationship problems lay in noticing what is already working,
and learning to do more of it. There is no guarantee that my approach will solve
all of your issues, but there is a guarantee that continuing to 'try harder' on
your own will likely not work.
I hold a Master's degree in Couples & Family
Therapy and a BA in Psychology. My professional experience includes clinical
work in outpatient clinics and private practice as well as more serious
inpatient hospital settings. In addition, I am a frequent presenter of lectures
on couples communication and have published peer-reviewed journal articles on
best-practice approaches to treating the most challenging couples issues.
When it comes to couple relationships, I believe
that even the most problematic relationships can be improved with surprisingly
little effort. By focusing away from problem-saturated thinking and towards
uncovering solutions that are already working outside of your daily awareness, I
believe it is possible to make your relationship substantially better. Using
this approach, I have helped numerous clients understand and address challenges
associated with couple relationships (couple communication issues, lack of
intimacy, adjustment to life stages).
