Mary E. Canzoneri is a New York State licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over ten years of experience.
Over the years, I have worked with individuals, couples and families facing all levels of emotional distress, from simple difficulties with living daily life to extreme trauma and grief. Before entering into private practice, I worked in agency settings providing services to all members of families. Additionally, I have provided trainings to both families and fellow professionals on the emotional needs of couples and families.
I have presented at many hospitals,community service agencies and schools on Long Island about the need for a "family systems" approach to working with individuals, couples and familes. I have also been nationally and locally published and her programs have been featured on local cable stations and in the New York Times.
The last several years, I have worked with all types of issues;depression, anxiety, anger management, affairs, communication problems, addictions, divorce, sexual issues, and so on. I am currently writing articles on how couple's relationships impact children for web publication and local parenting publications.
