Degrees

BA, Oglethorpe University MSW, University of Georgia I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia, License Number 534. I am listed in Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders and Who's Who of Human Service Professionals; and was awarded a Ford Foundation Fellowship while earning my Master's degree.

My Expert Service

I am a professional therapist who has worked in couples and relationship therapy for over 30 years. I have led a group for 20 years in which clients learn early on in a relationship how to spot danger signs or "red flags" and how to get out early before too much damage is done to their hearts and self images.

Experience & Qualifications

I work with individuals about their relationships and I also work with couples (when available) to actually change the process of communication while I am with them. Years ago therapists were told that they should NEVER attempt couples therapy unless both partners were present. Now we have learned how to work with just one partner if the other refuses to attend for whatever reason. It's true. There are some ways to knock the complacency out of the one who refuses treatment. Ask me how! So...there are many forms of relationship therapy and I am here if you'd like to explore some of them.

I contacted Mary Lee, three months ago, and over the last three months, she has helped me to come so, so far in my recovery. She is kind, caring, friendly and so very understanding and knowledgeable. Without a doubt, she's A+ all the way.

Mary Lee does not hesitate to tell you her thoughts but yet is a great listener full of insightful observations. Her thoughts are weighed with wisdom and thoughtful oberservations. Some counselors dodge questions but I don't want that as I want to know the views of the professional which is why I called. Mary Lee is outstanding and highly professional in both her work with those who call and in her concern for those she serves. Bravo!

It was another breakthrough session under the most ordinary situations as I was making a call to an expert at Live Person. Yet, Mary Lee helped me understand what the core issue was in my case and that although against my usual train of thought it was the right thing for the matter at hand. Great session. Many thanks.
