Experience & Qualifications
|
|
I have more than 25 years experience working in a variety of settings including as an In-Home Family Therapist with children, adolescents, and adults; including At-Risk teenagers as both an Educator and a Counselor. In this capacity I worked with parents on relationship and marital issues that interfered with their ability to parent. This has been my most satisfying relationship with clients as the in-home enviroment allows the professional to get a true and full picture of the individual and family dynamics in order to better serve the family system. My experience ranges from the public and non-public regular and special education school settings to adult residential care for people with multiple diagnoses, private practice and in-patient adult behavioral health hospitalization. In private practice my work included pre-maritial and marital counseling as well as teaching effective communication skills necessary for personal and professional relationships. Additionally, I have experience as a Non-Profit Clinical Program Manager and Community Services Agency Clinical Supervisor. Parent/Child relationships were often the focus of my clinical supervisory role. I am an objective, trained, yet compassionate listener who believes that whatever matters to you is worth discussing. I can be the vehicle to your finding your own solutions to whatever stumbling blocks are in the way of finding your serenity and the actualization of your aspirations for yourself. Sometimes we need to get out of our own way to find it.
