My Expert Service
|
|
The most effective tools in counseling are listening with complete presence, objective awareness, clarity of mind and physical ease. This is true in face to face counseling as well as online counseling. The person who is need of compassion, understanding and acceptance will also respond favorably through cyberspace when these qualities are present in the therapist. While there is a lot of room for projection on both sides of the screen, empathy must be the first consideration. After you have that in place within yourself, and the client feels your true concern, you can use many effective tools for the online experience. In some cases online counseling can be more effective than face to face counseling! Some of the therapeutic methods I can assist you with are cognitive/behavioral, rational/emotive, Adlerian social, humanistic/gestalt, existential, psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, self psychology, dialectic behavior therapy, marriage and family, family systems, child/parent relationship and transpersonal therapy.
