Experience & Qualifications

In almost 20 years of practice, I've worked in addictions treatment, community mental health, school-based counseling and for the last 13 years, private practice.
My clients are mainly adults, but I also have extensive experience working with adolescents, couples and families. My expertise is in treating depression, anxiety, substance abuse/dependence, codependency and work/school stress. My business background and extensive Employee Assistance Program work have given me critical insight into work issues.
Instead of labeling behaviors as "bad" or "wrong," I prefer to look at them as "unhealthy" or "non-productive." Using clients' insights and strengths, I help them look for more productive ways to approach life's difficulties.
