The source of stress can be the impetus for you to expand and grow. I know it isn't always fun. But regardless of its source--relationships, work, school, family, health, or money--the dis-harmony pushes you beyond your current perspective, limitations and restrictions, towards establishing a new sense of harmony -- no matter what is happening in your life. That goal is worth the process.
Before you contact me, formulate what you hope to receive from the session so we can jump right in, and also let me know how much time you have so I can work appropriately. Be willing to understand your thoughts, feel your feelings, and identify your viewpoint with mindfulness and care. When you are receptive to alternative perspectives and open to my gentle challenges, change can start to happen. This may mean you gain a fresh perspective on an old problem or pick up some new skills and tools.
I will not share your information so you can feel secure to say what is on your mind and feel what is in your heart. The exceptions are if I am concerned that either you or someone else is in danger or at risk of being harmed, I must break your confidentiality.
A counselor works in service to you and your situation. Sometimes loved ones, friends and family have their own needs, wants, desires and agenda preventing them from being unbiased or non-judgmental. By contacting me, you are already showing great strength and courage. In the service of expanding your contentment, I offer you my compassion, support and skill. My clients appreciate the results they get from their sessions. I'll help you find what is right FOR YOU.
