RESIDENTIAL CARE:
I have spent many years working within the care sector, particularly mental health, and have, for many years, owned a residential home for adults who have been diagnosed with mental illness, particularly Schizophrenia, Depression,Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar, Obsessive Compulsion Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Korsacoffs, Alzheimers, Acquired Brain Injury, Multiple Personality Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Tourettes, and Dementia. This line of work has required me to become familiar with the symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment options, for many psychiatric problems. I have also gained a wealth of experience in alcohol and drug misuse, aggressive and violent behaviour, mood swings, poor self-esteem, and marginalization.
COMMUNITY CARE.
In addition to the above service, I am also involved in a project which offers compassionate support and counseling to the family members and friends of those who are suffering from mental illness.
PRIVATE PRACTICE.
In private practice, both in-person and on-line, I have worked with clients who are experiencing relationship difficulties (including sexual dysfunction, sexual exploration, infidelity, abusive and challenging behavior, and poor communication), low self-esteem, repetative self-harming tendancy, isolation issues, and weight management difficulties.
