It's hard for me to reach young, aspiring models because I am always in a photo studio or on the road... I hope LivePerson helps open a channel of communication between you and me.
Were you approached by someone in the mall and told you should model? How do you know if the offer is legit? As a parent you should be worried, as a prospective model you should be wary. There are so many scams out there!
Don't start your career in the wrong direction. I know all the major agencies, and a lot of the agency owners. I know the scams, the conventions, the schools, and a lot of their owners. I've written a book on how to get started in the business WITHOUT INCURRING COST.
If you want to pay for a test shoot and get photos for your portfolio I CAN PRODUCE YOUR PHOTO SHOOT. I will get you the right photographer, hair and makeup for age appropriate, fashionable photographs. I can arrange a photoshoot for you with pros who work for magazines, not people who do mall photography, so you'll be working with the same people that the real models work with. I can help you plan your poses, help edit your photos after the shoot, get them photoshopped, printed, get comp cards.. whatever you need, I can help you.
I can even be hired to go to your shoot with you (I had one client fly me to LA to be on set with her for her shoot- fun!) and coach you on your best angles, what looks you should do, wardrobe styling, and really help you get the most out of your photo shoot.
Let me give you just a few minutes of guidance in the right direction. I'll be here with you every step of the way, get you in front of real agents in New York City and have you looking, moving and feeling like a real model!!!

Learn the market- the difference between the International Circuit, Commercial Modeling, Fit Modeling, Parts Modeling... My name is Paula Patrice, and I am represented by Ford Model Agency, on the same board as Twiggy, Cheryl Tiegs, Carol Alt, and many other legendary models. I have shot with Nigel Barker many times, Patrick Demarchelier, and all the famous photographers whose names you know. I'm famous enough to fill an entire page of Google results, and humble enough to be the girl next door.
The photos on this page are of my work for major US advertisers. I've lived and worked the circuit in Paris, making a professional full-time living from fashion modeling since 1993 (wow, it doesn't feel like that long)!
I've written a book (currently being reworked for its 2nd edition) that is a guide to becoming a model in NYC.
