My Expert Service

I've got almost 2 decades worth of experience playing rotisserie style and head to head baseball as well as head to head fantasy football, particularly leagues with more complex scoring utilizing individual defensive players. Below are the key areas that I tend to focus on that I would be happy to provide guidance on: Draft Preparation – Definitely not an exact science, particularly where injuries are concerned, but in my opinion the quality of your draft has at least 50% to do with if you win your league or not. Key elements to take into account when developing a draft strategy include - - Scoring systems - Roster size - Start/appearance/inning limits - Owner tendencies - Balanced vs. stockpile approach? Roster Analysis - Understanding your needs, along with the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors is key in helping you to understand what roster moves are right for you. Through the season you’ll have to make numerous decisions in managing your staff including: - When to say when, cutting lose an non-performer - Trade evaluations, including impact to your team, the trading team and the league - Which free agents or waiver wire players are worth the gamble - What’s the right balance of fielders vs. batters, or offense vs. defense Now onto the things that I will not provide guidance on, it’s not that I don’t want to help, it’s that I don’t spend much time along the following lines and there are probably folks more suited to get you the help you are looking for. This would include: - Betting for any individual game outcome regardless of the sport - NHL fantasy games - NBA fantasy games - College fantasy games - Any fantasy sports game where the league is not based in the USA.

Experience & Qualifications

17 years playing fantasy baseball and football, mostly using online public sites like Yahoo and ESPN.com. I've won 7 of my last 15 fantasy football leagues played since 2003 with 6 top 3 finishes to go with them. I've won 4 of the last 11 baseball leagues I've participated in, with another 3 top three finishes. While I enjoy baseball for the every day activity, football is where I tend to have the most success. Half of the leagues I play in have very complex scoring systems where individual defensive players are also draft, accruing points for things like tackles, assists, sacks, etc...
