I can usually identify and remove a virus within a couple minutes, depending on the type of virus and how well it was built. For example, if it was a small program such as a keylogger or password stealer, it would not have much protection and would therefore be easily eliminated. A larger and more destructive program would require more extensive measures to remove it. I have the most experience using Windows systems, as Macintosh and Linux systems don't have nearly as many security exploits as Windows.

I have used Windows for about 12 years. I have experience in removing all kinds of viruses including: adware, spyware, malware, worms, trojans, stealers, etc. I have fixed many computers in the past, including my father's when I was eleven because he didn't know how to use an anti-virus program. Once I had fixed my uncle's computer after a fake "Windows Update" had been installed. I have also met a few white-hat hackers in college and they had shown me a few other security exploits and how to prevent them.
