Though i did not go to schools or take up any courses for bartending, food, beverage, hospitality aspects etc....everything i know and have learnt are all self-taught and picked up through the years of working my way up from the very bottom....worked as a waiter for 1year before being promoted to senior waiter. Was transferred to the bar within a short while to pick up the ropes of bartending and what the whole show was about.....before long, promoted to bartender and got my first experience of doing drinks and dispensing them to my guests....now currently chief bartender of a japanese cocktail bar, in less than 4 years of my F&B career, whereby i am in charge of staff schedules, payrolls, cost control, stock and inventory listing, cashiering, maintaining good relationships with our suppliers, tying up of advertising and marketing deals with magazines, newspapers and the media, and last but not least, mixing and shaking cocktails for our guests.....in charge of the ever-popular "Cocktail of the Month" promotion where the drink featured will never be found anywhere else in the world! And of course, i am ever ready to throw all caution to the wind and just do an impromptu cocktail for a guest based on occasion, time and season of the year, gender-wise, outlook, and his/her mentality! Anything goes!!
