I am employed with a public school system. I have been employed for several years working with children who have special needs. My concentrated case load is with children who need help in developing language skills. I teach children to use AAC devices for social, educational, and basic communication needs. I am familiar with the Go Talk, Big Mac, Speak Easy, Dynavox, Dynamite, Hip Talker, and various other AAC devices. I currently teach children with Autism, severe developmental delays, ebd, profound developmental delays, OHI, and TBI. I have written and followed the goals and objectives set up in IEPs to insure that the child receives the education that is guaranteed through IDEA and special education laws. This is a chosen field I have enjoyed teaching and continue to enjoy teaching the children in their communication needs.
