My Expert Service

“Experience is one thing you can’t get for nothing.” (Oscar Wilde)... As a freelance writer famous for a love of good quotes, I have been writing for as long as I can remember. My extensive writing and editing experience span a spectrum of markets - from high tech, non-profit and politics to travel, medical and performing arts. Added to the mix are 25+ years of well-honed integrated marketing communications skills, in the marketing of new and existing products and services through effective communications tools, such as public relations, special events, product launches, conferences, trade shows, and strategic alliance development. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, I lived in Europe and now reside permanently in the United States. My love of history and philosophy (especially the existentialists!) prompted me to do a B.A. in Political Science (specifically, political philosophy) and an M.A. in History (history of European intellectual thought) at McGill University and Concordia University, respectively.

Experience & Qualifications

As the Managing Partner of LEXI Communications, Inc., a Delaware-based marketing consultancy, I am responsible for new business development and integrated marketing communications. I provide prospective clients with more than twenty-five years of experience in the marketing of new and existing products and services through effective communications tools such as special events, product launches, conferences, trade shows, social media and public relations. In an effort to target my services to an international market, I spent most of my time in Europe from August 1996 to June 1998 and operated a consultancy specializing in strategic business development and marketing communications solutions for the IT and Telecommunications marketplace. Previously, I joined Telematics International in 1994 as Corporate Marketing Communications Manager, responsible for directing and executing all corporate and Americas/Asia Pacific/European marketing communications programs. As a consequence of my efforts and commitment to new responsibilities – which included developing and maintaining the synergy of marketing communications between Telematics and its parent company, ECI Telecom – I was promoted to Director, Corporate Marketing Communications in July 1995. My background in exhibition management, strategic alliance development, direct and indirect sales program planning, public relations and publishing is extensive. I held senior marketing management positions with both hi-tech and medical imaging companies such as QMS, Matrox, Spinex Medical Technologies and Diagnospine Research. A consummate PR professional, I created and executed public relations programs for non-profit organizations and political candidates. I have extensive writing and editing experience. I have written countless press releases, white papers and customer case studies. My published pieces include travel articles written for the Montreal-based Nights Publications and practical how-to chapters for the Time Life Fix-It-Yourself Series. I am also a professional blog writer, posting blogs for corporate clients on a plethora of topics - from wine and spirits to tea, history and non-profit organizations serving children and families in need. Recently, I began writing my first novel, Finding Grace. Born and raised in Montréal (Québec), Canada, I am a permanent resident of the United States and now divide my time between Silicon Valley (California) and South Florida.
