I am a trained HIV-AIDS counselor.
I will answer your questions related to HIV, AIDS and TB such as: "How do you get infected with HIV and TB?", "How can I know if I have HIV or TB?", "Can I survive HIV or TB?", "Do I have AIDS?", "How will I tell my family and friends?", "If I am HIV-positive, can I marry"?, "Can I have children if I have HIV?", and other questions you want to ask. Immediate and comprehensive answer, in simple easy to understand layman's terms, to sensitive questions you want to keep confidential.
Know Your Personal Level of HIV, AIDS, TB Risk
I can help you determine, with absolute assurance of confidentiality, your own level of risk for HIV or TB infection, particularly if you feel that you have been placed in a situation where you could have been infected, and if there is a necessity for you to undergo laboratory testing procedures.
Avail HIV Pre-Test and Post-Test Counseling
Pre-test and post-test counseling is the giving of information and emotional support to a person who is still trying to decide or has agreed to undergo laboratory test for HIV, before and after the test. By the information you provide, your personal risk-status will be assessed. You will then be advised if in fact you have nothing to worry about and provided with information on how you may remain free from HIV or TB infection. You will be informed if the result of the assessment suggests that it would be best, for your peace of mind or as a safer option, for you to submit yourself to a laboratory test. You will be given information about where to go and how the procedures will be done and what to expect in the process. You will find counseling valuable in managing the feelings within yourself and the complexities of interaction with other people while within the period of waiting for the test results. Counseling for those who have just received laboratory confirmation of their HIV-positive status is highly recommended.
Ventilate Strong Feelings
If you are already a confirmed HIV carrier, referred to as Person Living with HIV or PLHIV, this is a venue where you can express your fears, frustrations, difficulties, questions, personal discoveries, learnings and victories. You may express yourself frankly, honestly and without fear of being exposed, judged, condemned or ridiculed. You may recount your personal experiences, occurrence of a circumstance or a particular situation in which you feel you could have been exposed to HIV or TB, with full assurance of confidentiality.
Counseling For Everyone
The counseling will be available to every one, whether or not you are a PLHIV, a person who feels at a risk or someone who just wants to know about HIV and TB or someone who wants to help another person or the community. It will be provided regardless of age, nationality, race, political leaning or affiliation, religious or spiritual belief, economic status, gender, sexual preference or sexual practice. Confidentiality will be held sacred and will always remain inviolable.

This venue is made available to help you better understand HIV and TB, survive its presence, cope with it and join those who have proven it that with appropriate counseling life can become even more productive, fulfilling and much enjoyed --even with HIV.
