Mr. Rice has broad experience resulting from his 30 years of building and managing high-tech products and services businesses. Robert has built and managed diverse teams of varying sizes and across business disciplines. He has direct experience building entrepreneurial sales, marketing, product marketing, and product development teams that focus on customer driven solutions. Robert has managed direct businesses in the USA, Canada and the UK and indirect partners in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. The teams built and championed by Mr. Rice have generated 100’s of millions of dollars in annual sales globally. Prior employers include Fairchild Industries, JDS Uniphase, Visual Networks, DataVoice, etc.
Robert has helped build multiple technology-based start-ups as a professional and technical consultant. He has a assisted companies in the areas of sales development, global business planning and operations. Mr. Rice believes in giving back and sharing his experience. He is a past Chairman of the Mid-Atlantic District Export Council (a public/private partnership of the US Department of Commerce), a member of various regional technology councils, a lecturer and panelist at the US Department of State - Foreign Services Institute (FSI) and a published author.
Mr. Rice holds an Electrical Engineering Bachelors degree from Tulane University, is a lecturer at industry conferences and seminars, and has traveled extensively. Robert is married and enjoys many activities including golf, scuba diving, web development-family, travel and gardening.
