I hold a bachelor of arts degree in education. I have endorsements in elementary and early childhood education. I am currently working on an additional unified endorsement endorsement that focuses on special education from birth through age eight. I have also completed a management course for early childhood programs.

I would like the opportunity to assist students and their families with all aspects of educational concern. This entails basic tutoring, tutoring gifted or special needs children, helping families through the IEP system, locating and coordinating educational and associated services, and consulting on preparation for high school and college. I am also qualified to provide consultation on a number of parenting issues of all ages, especially early childhood (birth through age eight).
On another level, I have worked in several management position and I have expertise with many different issues employers deal with in regards to their employees, i.e. retention, qualified staff, difficult employees, etc. I also have many curriculum files, materials, and projects for early childhood as well as elementary classroom teachers.

Experience & Qualifications

I have had the opportunity to work with children and students birth through age 21 throughout my career. I have worked with many different types of students (and families) with varying ability levels, disabilities, special needs, and from various socio-economic levels. I have managed three early childhood programs, including student and staff management. I have also taught preschool for a period of five years where I developed curriculum and used mostly the high scope teaching method. I taught in a grade combined classroom of upper elementary students. I taught all areas of the curriculum including art, PE, and music. I have coordinated services for a program that focuses on individuals and students with various severe mental and physical disabilities. I have also been the program manager in charge of staff and site operation for the this particular program.
